Terms of Service
These terms explain how E-ADHD provides access to telehealth ADHD services that are provided by independent subscribing health practitioners, what you can expect from us, and what we need from you. They apply to your use of the E-ADHD website, Platform, our booking portal, and any appointment or service you book with us.
If this is an emergency, do not use this website
E-ADHD is not an emergency or crisis service and does not provide urgent after-hours care. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. For urgent mental health support, contact your state or territory mental health line, Lifeline on 13 11 14, or attend your nearest emergency department.
1About these terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and E-ADHD. By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or receiving a service from us, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website or book an appointment.
If you are booking on behalf of another person, such as a child or an adult for whom you are a guardian or nominated representative, you accept these terms on their behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.
These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, any consent form you complete before an appointment, and any written information your clinician gives you about your care. If there is a conflict, the clinical consent and care documents for your individual appointment take precedence over these general terms.

4What our service is, and is not
E-ADHD provides a Platform for independent, subscribing health practitioners to provide clinical ADHD assessment and ADHD treatment initiation by telehealth, that may include shared care with your usual general practitioner.
What we provide
A Platform for clients to access the following services from independent, subscribing health practitioners:
- Diagnostic ADHD assessment by a clinical psychologist, with a written report.
- Review of a completed ADHD assessment report by a psychiatrist or paediatrician, followed by their own clinical review and, where appropriate, treatment initiation.
- Review appointments to support treatment already commenced.
- Written correspondence to your GP so your regular doctor can remain involved in your care.
What we do not provide
- Emergency, crisis or after-hours care.
- General practice or primary care.
- Assessment or treatment of conditions outside ADHD, other than as clinically necessary to consider an ADHD diagnosis safely.
- Indefinite ongoing prescribing independent of your GP.
- Documentation for legal, insurance, workplace, immigration, sporting or academic-accommodation purposes as a stand-alone service, unless separately agreed in writing.
- Prescriptions or reports on request without a clinical consultation.
We do not guarantee any particular clinical outcome, diagnosis, prescription or report. Every clinical decision rests with the treating clinician and is based on their independent professional judgement.
5Eligibility and prerequisites
To use our Platform, you must:
- be physically located in Australia at the time of your appointment;
- be at least 18 years old to book for yourself, or be booked by a parent, guardian or authorised representative if under 18;
- have a usual GP or general practice willing to refer to E-ADHD and participate in shared care;
- be able to attend by video with a working camera, microphone and stable internet connection; and
- provide accurate identity, contact, Medicare, clinical, and relevant Legal or Guardianship information.
Which clinician to book: age ranges
Our psychiatrists see patients aged 6 and over, with no upper age limit. Our paediatricians see patients aged 6 to 25 only. Please check the patient's age before you book:
| Patient age | Clinician type to book |
|---|---|
| Under 6 years | We are not able to accept patients under 6 years of age |
| 6 to 25 years | Paediatrician or psychiatrist |
| 26 years and over | Psychiatrist |
The fee for a paediatrician appointment and a psychiatrist appointment of the same type is the same. If you book a paediatrician for a patient aged 26 or over, section 7 explains what happens.
Prerequisites for treatment appointments
Before booking an appointment with a psychiatrist or paediatrician for treatment initiation, you must upload a completed ADHD assessment report prepared by a registered health practitioner qualified to make that diagnosis. If a suitable report is not provided in advance, the appointment may not be able to proceed, or may proceed without the option for prescribing to occur. Our cancellation terms in section 9 will apply.
State and territory requirements
ADHD medicines are regulated separately in each Australian state and territory. Depending on where you live, additional permits, approvals or practitioner involvement may be required before a medicine can be prescribed or continued. Your clinician must comply with the requirements that apply in your location, and these requirements may limit or delay what we can lawfully do for you. Requirements can change, and we cannot guarantee an outcome that depends on a third-party regulatory approval.
When we may not be the right service
Telehealth is not appropriate for everyone. We may decline or discontinue care where, in the clinician's judgement, your needs cannot be safely met by telehealth. This includes cases where there is significant risk to your safety, complex co-occurring conditions requiring in-person care, or a history that requires face-to-face examination. If this happens, we will explain why and help you identify an appropriate alternative pathway.
6Shared care with your GP
Our model includes the option of shared care. We do not replace your GP for your overall health care management. By using our Platform, you consent to us corresponding with your nominated GP or general practice about your care, including sending assessment reports, treatment plans and review letters, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
If you ask us not to communicate with your GP, we will discuss the clinical implications with you. In some circumstances we may be unable to continue providing care without GP involvement, because safe prescribing and monitoring depend on it.
Responsibility for your general health, other medicines, conducting investigations including but not limited to ECG heart rhythm testing, growth and blood pressure monitoring, and medication side effect monitoring between your appointments remains with your GP.
7Booking appointments
All appointments are booked by you through the Booking Portal at clientportal.zandahealth.com/clientportal/e-adhd. Our administration team cannot create, move or hold bookings on your behalf, and cannot transfer a booking from one type of clinician to another, other than the single age-related move described below.
Age-related move from a paediatrician to a psychiatrist
Our paediatricians see patients aged 6 to 25 only, while our psychiatrists see patients aged 6 and over with no upper age limit, as set out in section 5. If you book a paediatrician appointment for a patient aged 26 or over, we may move your booking to the next available appointment with a psychiatrist instead of cancelling and refunding it. We can do this because the fee for both appointment types is the same, so no additional payment, refund or adjustment is required.
- We will contact you to confirm the new clinician and appointment time before or shortly after the move is made.
- You are not obliged to accept the new time. You may reschedule to another time with the psychiatrist yourself through the Booking Portal, or ask us to cancel and refund the booking under section 10.
- This is the only circumstance in which our administration team will move a booking between clinician types. All other incorrect bookings are cancelled and refunded as set out below.
If your scheduled clinician becomes unexpectedly unavailable due to illness, emergency or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. Where clinically appropriate, we may offer you the option of an appointment with another suitably qualified clinician on the Platform, subject to that clinician's availability. You are not obliged to accept a substitute clinician. Alternatively, you may choose to reschedule with your original clinician when they are next available, or cancel and receive a full refund in accordance with section 10.
You are responsible for selecting the correct appointment type and clinician. If you book the wrong appointment type, the booking will be cancelled and refunded in accordance with section 10, and you will need to book the correct appointment yourself through the Booking Portal. The only exception is the age-related move from a paediatrician to a psychiatrist described above.
A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from the Booking Portal. Appointment availability is not guaranteed and may change. A change of appointment date and time, may be required depending on practitioner availability, or other reasons. If this occurs, a new appointment time will be created for you.
Before your appointment you must complete all intake forms and upload any required documents by the deadline stated in your confirmation. Appointments may be cancelled where required information has not been provided in time.
8Fees, payment and Medicare
Current fees for each appointment type are published on our website fees page and shown in the Booking Portal at the time of booking. The fee displayed when you book is the fee that applies to that appointment.
Payment is required in full at the time of booking or as otherwise specified in the Booking Portal. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
Medicare rebates
- Some appointments may attract a Medicare rebate where you meet the eligibility requirements set by Services Australia.
- Eligibility depends on your individual circumstances, including whether you hold a valid referral of the correct type and whether the telehealth item requirements are met. It is determined by Services Australia, not by E-ADHD.
- We cannot guarantee that a rebate will be payable, or the amount of any rebate. Rebate amounts are set by the Australian Government and may change.
- Where you are eligible, your clinician will usually process the rebate claim during or after your appointment, and Services Australia pays the rebate into your nominated bank account.
- You are responsible for the full fee regardless of whether a rebate is ultimately paid.
- If you are unsure about your eligibility, please check with your usual GP or Services Australia before booking.
We are not a bulk-billing service. Fees may change from time to time; changes do not affect appointments already booked and paid for.
9Cancellations, changes and non-attendance
Appointments must be created by you through the Booking Portal. E-ADHD does not create appointments on your behalf.
E-ADHD does not reschedule appointments, other than the age-related move from a paediatrician to a psychiatrist described in section 7. If you need a different appointment time, this must be specifically requested. Clients can self-serve to reschedule appointments to the same clinician or appointment type, using the Client portal.
Where you cancel your appointment or do not attend, the appointment fee is retained. Refunds are available only as set out in section 10.
10Refunds
We refund the appointment fee where you booked the wrong appointment. The booking is cancelled and refunded, and you then book the correct appointment yourself through the Booking Portal at the applicable fee. Bookings are not transferred, adjusted or topped up. Refunds are limited to the cost of the appointment. Any payment or processing fees paid, are not refunded.
Where we move your booking between a paediatrician and a psychiatrist under section 7 because of the age range that applies, no refund arises. The fee for both appointment types is the same and your booking is moved rather than cancelled, so nothing further is payable to you or by you. If you would prefer not to accept the new appointment, tell us and we will cancel and refund the booking on the terms set out above.
All other refunds are by special consideration only. To request one, email dr@e-adhd.com with a written request setting out the consideration you are asking us to take into account. Requests are assessed individually and approval is at our discretion.
We do not refund an appointment that has taken place on the basis of the clinical outcome. That includes an appointment where a diagnosis was not confirmed, where medication was not prescribed, or where the clinician concluded that a different pathway is required. You are paying for the clinician's time and professional assessment, not for a predetermined result.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the booking. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer.
11Prescribing and medicines
Prescribing is a clinical decision made by the treating clinician. Booking and paying for an appointment does not entitle you to a prescription, a particular medicine, a particular dose, or a particular quantity.
- ADHD medicines are controlled substances. Prescribing is subject to state and territory legislation, permit and approval requirements, and clinical guidelines.
- Prescriptions are issued only after a consultation. We do not issue a prescription in response to an email, phone message or web form request without a consultation taking place.
- Where a prescription is issued, it is provided through the prescribing and prescription delivery systems we use. Your clinician will confirm how your prescription will reach you or your pharmacy.
- Your clinician may access prescription monitoring systems and may contact your GP, pharmacy or previous prescribers to confirm your medicines history.
- You must be under the care of one prescriber for ADHD medicines at any one time and must tell us about any other prescriber involved in your care.
- Lost, stolen or damaged prescriptions, and requests for early or additional supply, are managed at the clinician's discretion and may require an appointment. Replacement is not automatic.
- Repeat prescriptions and ongoing supply may be provided by your GP under the shared care plan.
- You must not share, sell or supply your medicine to anyone else. Doing so is unlawful and will end our care relationship.
If you experience side effects or your medicine does not seem to be working, contact your GP, or book a review appointment. In an emergency, call 000.
Taking prescribed medicine overseas may be restricted or prohibited. It is your responsibility to check the requirements of any country you travel to.
12Your responsibilities
When you use our Services, you agree to:
- give complete and truthful information about your health history, symptoms, current and past medicines, other treating practitioners, alcohol and other drug use, and any previous assessments;
- provide the patient's correct date of birth at the time of booking, so that the appointment is made with the right type of clinician;
- verify your identity when asked, including showing photo identification on camera;
- attend from a private, quiet location in Australia where you can speak confidentially, and not from a vehicle you are driving;
- be sober and not affected by alcohol or other drugs during your appointment;
- ensure a parent, guardian or support person is available where required for a person under 18;
- provide a working phone number so your clinician can reach you if the video connection fails;
- keep your Booking Portal login details secure and not share them; and
- not record any part of an appointment without the clinician's prior written consent.
Providing false or incomplete information can lead to unsafe care. If we identify that information you gave us was materially inaccurate, we may end our care relationship without refund of an appointment already provided.
13Telehealth: consent and limitations
By booking a telehealth appointment you consent to receiving care by video or telephone and acknowledge the following:
- A clinician cannot perform a physical examination remotely, which may limit the assessment.
- Some elements of care may require in-person attendance, a pathology test, or referral to another provider.
- Technology can fail. Connections may drop, audio or video quality may be poor, and appointments may be delayed or need to be rescheduled.
- No electronic system is completely secure. While we use platforms with commercial security controls, we cannot guarantee that a transmission cannot be intercepted.
- You may withdraw your consent to telehealth at any time, though this may mean we can no longer provide the service.
In rare circumstances where a patient cannot safely be assessed by telehealth, a face-to-face review may be arranged if it is clinically required. E-ADHD does not otherwise offer in-clinic appointments.
14Reports, records and results
Assessment reports and letters are prepared within the timeframe advised by your clinician. Reports are released once complete and once all fees have been paid.
A report reflects the clinician's professional opinion based on the information available at the time. We cannot amend a clinical opinion on request. If you believe a report contains a factual error, tell us and we will review it. If we do not agree to change it, we will record your comment with the report.
You may request access to your health information at any time under section 15. We retain clinical records for the period required by law.
15Privacy and health information
We handle personal and health information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and applicable state and territory health records legislation. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, where it is stored, and how to access or correct it.
Your health information is confidential. There are limited circumstances in which we may disclose it without your consent, including where disclosure is required or authorised by law, where there is a serious and imminent risk to the life, health or safety of any person, or as part of mandatory reporting obligations.
To request access to your records, or to raise a privacy concern, email dr@e-adhd.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
16Our relationships with other providers
E-ADHD works in partnership with Patches Integrated Health and Perth Psychological Services to support connected ADHD care. Some E-ADHD clinicians operate from the Patches Subiaco office at 55 Salvado Road, Subiaco WA 6008, while each service remains a separate provider responsible for its own care.
Disclosure of interests. E-ADHD and Patches Integrated Health share a related ownership structure. We disclose this so you can make an informed choice about where you receive care.
- You are never required to use a related or partner provider. You are free to obtain an assessment, allied health support or ongoing care from any registered provider you choose.
- Any referral we make is based on clinical need and your preferences.
- No payment or benefit is provided or received by E-ADHD or its clinicians in exchange for referring patients to or from any provider.
- Where a fee difference applies to patients who already hold a recent assessment report, it applies equally to reports from any appropriately qualified registered provider, because it reflects reduced duplication of clinical work.
If you would like to discuss this, or prefer to be referred elsewhere, tell your clinician or contact us and we will assist.
17Third-party platforms and tools
We use third-party providers to deliver our Services, including the Zanda Health client portal for booking, forms and records, a payment provider for card transactions, a video platform for consultations, and electronic prescribing and secure messaging systems.
Your use of these platforms is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We select providers with appropriate security and privacy controls, but we are not responsible for the acts, omissions or outages of third-party providers, or for content on websites we link to.
18Website content and AI assistant
Information on this website, including articles, FAQs, resources and any AI assistant or chat tool, is general information only. It is not medical advice, is not tailored to your circumstances, and must not be relied on to diagnose or treat any condition.
Using the website, submitting an enquiry form, or interacting with an AI assistant does not create a practitioner and patient relationship. That relationship begins only when a clinician accepts you into care at a consultation.
Any AI assistant on this site provides general information and administrative help. It cannot give clinical advice, cannot access your medical records, and its responses may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not use it to report symptoms, side effects or anything urgent.
We aim to keep website content accurate and current, but content may become out of date and we do not warrant that it is error-free.
19Acceptable use
You must not:
- use our Services for any unlawful purpose, or to obtain medicines by deception;
- impersonate another person or book using false details;
- behave abusively, threateningly or discriminatorily towards our staff or clinicians;
- record, publish or distribute any part of an appointment without written consent;
- interfere with, scrape, reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website or Booking Portal; or
- submit content that infringes another person's rights or introduces malicious code.
We may suspend or terminate access to our Services immediately if you breach this section.
20Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, the E-ADHD name and brand, resources and templates, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view, download and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, adaptation or commercial distribution, requires our written permission.
Reports and letters prepared for you may be used for your own health care and shared with your treating practitioners. They must not be published, altered or used for commercial purposes.
21Communications
By providing your contact details you consent to us contacting you by email, SMS and phone about your appointments, forms, results and care. These are service communications and are necessary for us to provide care.
Email and SMS are not secure and are not monitored continuously. Do not use them for urgent or clinical matters. We aim to respond to administrative enquiries as promptly as possible during business hours.
Any marketing communications are sent only with your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential service communications about your care.
22Feedback and complaints
If something has not gone well, please tell us. Email dr@e-adhd.com or call 1800 372 343. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly, keep you informed of progress, and work to resolve it as quickly as we reasonably can.
You may also raise a concern directly with an external body at any time, and you do not need to complain to us first:
- AHPRA. Concerns about a registered health practitioner: ahpra.gov.au or 1300 419 495.
- Your state or territory health complaints body. For example, the Health and Disability Services Complaints Office (HaDSCO) in Western Australia.
- Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Privacy concerns: oaic.gov.au.
Making a complaint will not affect the care you receive from us.
23Disclaimers and your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be supplied with due care and skill.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that:
- our Services will achieve any particular clinical result;
- a diagnosis, prescription, report or Medicare rebate will be provided or approved;
- the website or Booking Portal will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free; or
- information on the website is complete, current or suitable for your circumstances.
24Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and other than in respect of rights that cannot be excluded:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, income, data or opportunity, however arising;
- we are not liable for loss or harm caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you provided, by your failure to follow clinical advice, by a third-party platform or telecommunications failure, or by the acts or omissions of another provider involved in your care; and
- where liability can be limited rather than excluded, our total liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
You agree to indemnify us against any loss or claim arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful conduct, or your provision of false information.
25Declining or ending care
A clinician may decline to accept you into care, or may end the care relationship, where:
- telehealth is not clinically appropriate or safe for your needs;
- the patient falls outside the age range we are able to see;
- the required prerequisites, documents or regulatory approvals are not in place;
- information provided to us was materially false or incomplete;
- there is evidence of misuse, diversion or multiple concurrent prescribers;
- our staff or clinicians have been subject to abusive or threatening behaviour; or
- fees remain unpaid.
Where we end care, we will tell you, give you a reasonable explanation, notify your GP where appropriate, and provide information to help you transfer your care. Except where these terms say otherwise, fees for appointments already provided are not refunded.
You may end the care relationship at any time. Please tell us so we can update your records and inform your GP.
26Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services, fees or legal obligations. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be notified through the website or by email where we hold your address.
The terms that apply to an appointment are those in force at the time you booked it. Continuing to use our Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Version 1.2 (04/08/2026). Added the age ranges for paediatrician and psychiatrist appointments in section 5, and allowed our administration team to move a booking between a paediatrician and a psychiatrist where the age range requires it, because the fee for both is the same (sections 7, 9 and 10).
27General provisions
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
- Severability. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions continue in force.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign or novate ours as part of a restructure or transfer of business, provided your rights are not materially reduced.
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and your clinical consent documents, form the entire agreement between us about the Services.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
