Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose E-ADHD?

E-ADHD provides a holistic and doctor-led approach to ADHD medication management. Our team of Consultant Paediatricians, Psychiatrist and GP-Special Interest (GP-SI) offer evidence-based medication assessment, ADHD medication management, natural therapeutics and ongoing shared care with your GP. The service is accessible on-demand, fully online, and available anywhere in Australia.

Who can use the E-ADHD service?

Our service is available to children, adolescents and adults across Australia. Anyone seeking ADHD medication assessment, medication optimisation, second opinions, or ongoing medication management can book an appointment.

Is E-ADHD telehealth covered by Medicare?

Medicare rebates may be accessible for your E-ADHD telehealth consultation. Factors such as prior access to limited rebates, attendance of the client at Telehealth, and a valid Referral, may impact eligibility. Where eligible, Medicare rebate claims are processed during your E-ADHD appointment.

How long does it take to get an appointment?

You can choose the next available appointment with availability within one week. Booking an appointment takes only minutes, is client-driven, and fully online. Bookings are made through our secure online platform, powered by Zandahealth.

How can I contact E-ADHD?

For booking appointments and payments, please use our secure booking portal.

Clinical questions, medication queries, or matters relating to your care must be discussed during a booked appointment with an E-ADHD doctor, as clinical advice cannot be provided by email.

For administrative questions or to provide feedback, you can contact our team at dr@e-adhd.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours on business days, and our team actively monitors this inbox, with most queries resolved within 12 business hours.

Where are your doctors based?

Currently our Consultant Paediatricians are based in Western Australia and New South Wales, and our GP-Special Interest in Western Australia. All clinicians provide care via secure telehealth, so you can access ADHD support from anywhere in Australia.

Are refunds available if I cancel my appointment?

Due to the demand for specialist ADHD appointments, refunds are generally not offered for cancellations or non-attendance.

However, if you need to change your appointment, we are happy to reschedule it to the next available time with the clinician appointment.

What reports or prior assessment do I need before booking?

For paediatric clients, a psychologist report and a completed ADHD assessment report are required before booking.

For Adult clients -- To be seen by our GP with Special Interest in ADHD, you must have already completed a formal ADHD assessment and have been initiated and stabilised on medication by a psychiatrist.

If the appointment is for a first-time E-ADHD client aged over 25 years, please book a 45-minute Telehealth E-ADHD Medication Assessment with one of our GPs with a Special Interest in ADHD.

Please note: if you are located in any state other than QLD, you will need to upload:

A copy of your ADHD diagnosis (from a medical doctor or clinical psychologist), and evidence that a psychiatrist has initiated and stabilised your ADHD medication, so that a GP with a Special Interest can continue your medication management.

Where is E-ADHD located? Do you offer in-person appointments?

E-ADHD is a telehealth-only ADHD service. We provide consultations exclusively online and do not offer in-person appointments. Our administrative operations are based in Perth, Western Australia, however patients can access our doctors securely via telehealth from anywhere across Australia.

E-ADHD is not a physical practice with resources available to correspond with clients outside appointments. The only avenue for discussions regarding medication or clinical concerns is through a booked appointment, allowing our doctors to address these matters in a considered and appropriate manner.
